...we had a real nice time at Kalilah's first birthday party! There was a great turnout of family and friends, and the stormy weather (complete with tornado sirens and everything!) gave us a sense of camaraderie, it seemed. We laughed our way through fallen tents, mad dashes to the basement and cramped, damp quarters. The birthday girl took it all in stride, needing just a short 15 minute nap late in the afternoon. Most of her friends from her daycare class came, as well as her teacher! It's definitely a day none of us will soon forget. Here's to many, many more birthday celebrations for our Junebug!
